Vishrama Makara Stool

Where Makara evokes the untamed energy of mythical waters, Vishrama Makara turns towards repose. Vishrama, meaning rest, suggests a quieter passage within the Ramayana—a pause between journeys, where movement gives way to contemplation. The familiar world of monkeys unfolds here as a dreamlike tableau: monkeys carrying trumpets and rockets, their exuberance held within the still presence of the Makara. Rooted in the ancient imagery of the epic, the collection captures the quiet wonder that lingers when a mythical world momentarily comes to rest.
