Karabha | The Baby Elephant

From the tranquil forests of India, a baby elephant sits at ease — playful, unguarded, and full of spirit. In Indian lore, young elephants symbolize harmony, carrying within them a gentleness that reflects nature’s balance: innocence holding its own alongside strength. In our studio, this infant becomes a playful seating, both inviting and lighthearted. Its rounded form offers rest, its presence bringing levity into a space. Hidden within its sculpted body lies a Panchatantra fable — the tale of The Mice and the Elephant — where kindness begets kindness, proving that no act of compassion is ever too small to matter. Crafted in brass through a union of hollowed joinery and intricate repoussé, the baby elephant blends play with purpose. More than an object, it is a tender companion in the unspoken language of care that binds beings together.
